I'm in Antigua, Guatemala for a few months doing fieldwork for a masters in linguistics from KU. My thesis is on a special grammatical class of words in Kaqchikel Maya called "positionals." I help out at a medical clinic in San Antonio Suchitipequez every couple of weeks. Peter is the doctor there. We also travel around to Mayan villages like Comalapa, San Antonio Aguas Calientes, and Santiago Sacatepequez to see patients and in general build relationships in Kaqchikel communities.
