When she got here, Amy started in on classes, and I dragged Hannah around to my various support groups. We went to ARTS Anonymous first, and Hannah liked it enough to say she's definitely coming back next time she's in KC on a Saturday. We meet in a little chapel inside Unity Temple on the Plaza. We all read aloud lots of affirmations before and after the sharing time. That felt really good. I'll have to do a post soon about ARTS Anonymous.
Then I was off to meet with my life coach, Cat. And when I introduced Cat and Hannah, Cat offered to do a birthday reading for Hannah. Yesss. I had been hoping she would offer something like that. So we went upstairs together, and Cat did a couple of spreads for Hannah. It was all very enlightening and interesting, especially when she did the numerology at the end.
Cat offers classes through conference calls, so that people all over the country can learn from her. Lindi and I are taking one for the next 5 Tuesdays (Living Intuitively--you get in touch with your angels, spirit guides, and animal totems). Cat's teaching one on Tarot next month, so maybe Hannah and I can do that one together.
I didn't know 'til Saturday that Hannah is a poet. She's probably written lots of poetry in the past, but the first one I've read is one that came to her after she had her reading with Cat. It is so cool. Maybe she'll let me post it here soon. In the slideshow there's a picture of her writing out a copy of it for me, so I could recite it in an upcoming open-mic poetry night. She also wrote it out in Tengwar (Elvish script).
A really neat thing that happened that day was Hannah and Amy were asked to perform that night in the big show. Their duo is called Maelstrom, and it kicks ass. I did Amy's makeup for it, and part of Hannah's. That night they lit us on fire. I don't have other performances of theirs to compare to, but the effect on the audience was electrifying. I'm so glad I got to see them live.

I'm uploading a slideshow right now, and also I took a little bit of video that I'll post here soon. This'll do for now . . .
